Well, this is what my design wall looks like today.
And I am glad it is – because it means that my quilt for the McCall’s Design Star Challenge is finished! Here is a shot of the front of the quilt.
Here are a few shots of the back of the quilt.
The finished quilt measures 72 x 72. The fabric is the Baltimore Album Collection by Mary Koval for Windham Fabrics. I quilted it on a Handiquilter 16 using templates, freehand quilting, and computerized designs (Pro-Stitcher) I used Aurifil thread in the project. I used 50 weight to stitch in the ditch on the quilt, and 40 weight for the quilting designs.
And thanks to some friends – clockwise from 12 noon: Diane Rode Schneck, Susan C. Sato, Marilyn Gore Kappel, and last but not least – me! Sewing the binding on the quilt on Sunday Jan 2 ( yes I had to agree to have the football game[s] on in the background for one of the participants) No sound from the football game – just some good Ella Fitzgerald and the like playing on the CD player.

AND voting begins this Friday January 7. Get ready to visit the McCall’s site and vote for your favorite quilt (hopefully mine!)
