Big Rig on the Road – QBL Day 4

On the fourth day  at QBL (Quilting by the Lake) we tried our hand at clamping.  It involves folding the cloth fan-fold stlye – it becomes a long rectangular piece of – then folding it again so it forms a pacage in the shape of a square, or triangle (right triangle or equilaterial triangle) or some other shape – I tried a rectangle.

Here are some of the my attempts at clamping that involved squares or rectangles.

This piece the fabric was first folded on the diagonal and then into a square

This one was done with white dupioni silk

Tomorrow I will post some pictures of pieces that were created be folding the cloth into triangular shapes.
